To protect neighbors from congested street parking conditions brought about by our proximity to the Southwest Missouri State campus, Rountree has parking restrictions on the streets on the west side of the neighborhood. These streets include Harrison, Monroe, Page, Belmont, McCann, Kickapoo and Rogers. Please refer to the Parking District map for specific restrictions.
Neighbors can park on these streets with the display of proper permits. The Office of Finance – Licensing, located on the first floor of the Busch building, provides the permits free of charge. In addition, during the summer they mail letters to residents notifying them of when they will be at Rountree School in August to distribute the permits. Simply show proof of residence and provide a license plate number for each permit. Neighbors are allowed two permits and one visitor’s permit. For questions about the permits, the Office of Finance – Licensing can be reached at 864-1617. Vehicles will be ticketed if no permit is displayed, so be sure to obtain and display a permit.
City parking restrictions are applicable to the rest of the neighborhood. These laws include not parking over a sidewalk or within five feet of a driveway, as well as other posted regulations.
